Should You Consider an Online-Money-Making EBook-Course?

Here is a question plenty of people wanting to make money online ask: Should I consider investing/purchasing a product that claims to teach me to create an online income, or should I search for free tutorials? I know I asked that question.
Let's start with the free tutorials. To begin with, you'll need to know exactly how you are going to go about making money online. There are many many ways to doing it, from Search Engine Optimization, Pay-Per-Click, Affiliate Marketing, being a merchant, being surveyed. Simply put, there are plenty of ways to create an online income. If you looked at the above ways and thought eh, then you still have a bit of searching to do if you are keen to make money on the net. I'm not going to explain all those here, but with a little bit of internet searching you should be able to find something which you understand. Perhaps enter those above phrases into Google.
Next, armed with that knowledge, it is time to begin hunting for information/tutorials about it. Conduct plenty of Google searches. And for sure, do a search on this website, because it contains plenty of great articles that will provide you with info. Now, beware that finding free tutorials on those topics will be hard. Making money on the net is far too lucrative for people just to give their stuff away. If you wish to go with finding out info for free, go for it, but be aware that it will take quite a bit of work.
The far more tempting offer is to purchase an eBook, video series, training course or whatever the fancy sales page offers. The advantage to getting one of these is that they will (well, at least they should) tell you more about making money online. They may even inspire you to action as well. The disadvantage to these is that often they will not explain themselves properly, will cost a lot, or will otherwise just be a scam. Often, these products will involve what I call 'risky marketing', which involves a strategy which I would deem risky, especially for new marketers. Or their techniques will involve something like an email list, something which these guys have been building for years.
Both ways are hit and miss. My recommendation to you is to thoroughly research your options first. Use the free searches to see if making money online is right for you. Then after finding an eBook, video series or training course, thoroughly research it first. Make sure you first email the owner an ask your question.
