Review Sites - How to Make the Most of Them to Maximize Profit

Review websites are a popular affiliate technique for generating sales and profit through affiliate links. They typically 'compare' three or more products in a similar category together, and come up with a winner. The review site will have affiliate links plastered throughout the page, so sales can be made this way. Here's how you can 'up' your sales with a review site.

Have a Snappy Header This is something that is essential to every sales page. Make it a statement, something that captures people's attention immediately. For example, the header 'Five Great Dieting Tips' would work much better as 'Discover the 5 Simple Steps to a Perfect Body'. Also, make it bold, big writing, and in red. It works. Don't use caps, as that will only scare people away.

Have a Winner Always have a winner for your review site. The trick here is getting people to trust you, and adding your favourite is a great way of giving personal advice. Remember, people trust personal advice, sometimes even more so then from an 'official' source. This is why review sites are so great. Really come across that you want to help the person. They will be more likely to trust you, and therefore click on your links.

Rate Them Rating the sites you review is a great and simple way to clearly show your opinions. It also makes you look more professional, so it looks like you know what you are talking about. A Rating enables people to quickly glance through your reviews to see your preferred site.

Include Screenshots or Graphics Try to include a screenshot of the website in question, so the person when clicking on your link already knows what to expect, i.e, you are talking about the same product as the link they have just clicked on. Just another way to make yourself seem more trustworthy.

Keep It Short Whatever you do, in the actual 'summary' of the site in question, make sure that you keep the review short. Your customers are looking to see if the product they want to buy is better then the others. You want to have a click and a sale, rather then a potential customer reading through hundreds of words before clicking off. Keeping it short is more likely to keep a customer on the page.

So there you have it. If you implement these tips into your review site, you are sure to see an increase in sales. If you don't have a review site, then this is a great place to start.
