My-Linker - Reviewed

This article is a review of the Wealthy Affiliate tool known as My-Linker. To begin with, I'll explain just what My-Linker is.
My-Linker is a tool at the Wealthy Affiliate University. It is especially designed for affiliate marketers to optimize their websites, articles, content and links. On top of that, it offers tracking and masking. How can one tool do all of this? Well, My-Linker masks links. So, instead of putting a URL like wealthyaffiliate.com, the URL becomes, my-linker.com/hop/___, with the underscore being the tracking code of your choice.
What this means then, is that, instead of linking directly to a website, without any tracking tools in use, you can effectively both mask and track your link at the same time. When someone clicks on your My-Linker link, you can view your statistics, and see exactly when it was clicked on, and how often it is clicked on. So, for example, you can track your different Squidoo pages, articles and website links, to see which is performing best.
So how does My-Linker perform?
Well, it performs very well, for a link tracking tool. It certainly works, if you're wondering about that, and therefore fulfills it's primary purpose. It's how My-Linker provides the information about your links that sets it apart from the everything else (that's both a good thing, and a bad thing, you'll see so in a minute).
My-Linker organizes links into campaigns, which means that it's very easy to organize your links. Upon opening My-Linker, you get a table filled with the different campaigns, and the number of clicks they have had. When you open a campaign up, you get to see a line graph with the number of times your links have been clicked on over time. At the bottom of the page, a table with the different URL's you have created is displayed.
Creating a URL is simple, simply enter the URL you wish to track, and your chosen link name. The link name you choose becomes the end of the link as shown above: my-linker.com/hop/___, with the underscore being the link name. You can also enter all sorts of information, including notes, percentage paid, vendor email, contact and more. Once you have created a URL, you get a My-Linker link to enter wherever you want it.
So what are the downsides to My-Linker? For one thing, less help is provided, which is unusual at Wealthy Affiliate. Of course you can always email another member. Another problem is that it does not always give you all the information you are after, you can only view time periods by URL.
Even with my minor gripes, My-Linker is a solid addition to the Wealthy Affiliate University, and a great tool in any affiliate marketers book. Any marketer would not want to be without a tracking tool such as My-Linker.
