Having been an internet marketer for a while now, I have come up with a list of 5 top tips for this career option, particularly for those starting out. Here we go!
1. Stick With Your Campaign Big one! Especially in the early stages, it is very very easy to swap what you are doing. For example, if you are in the dieting niche, you might give that a go for a couple of weeks or so, then decide that web hosting would be a much more profitable venture. Don't! You can make money in every single niche out there! Swapping between niches will not enable you to fully give something a go. By all means, stop if you know that there is nothing in the niche for you, but don't give up on it to chase something else.
2. Start The important this for anything is actually to, er, start. This may seem like an obvious one, but from my experience of new marketers, starting is something which is very hard to do. Make that first website, set up the blog, do whatever is needed to actually se the domino chain in motion. Can't stress this one enough.
3. Find Something You Enjoy Building up a new business from scratch is only going to happen if you actually enjoy the thing you are working on. Go talk to any cafe that was raised and built by someone. Did they hate it? Probably. But they had enough energy and excitement to see the project through. Same thing with internet marketing. Always go into a niche you enjoy, because you will be spending a lot of time with it. If you hate the topic and would rather walk over fire ants, then you should definitely not be in this niche. Try something else, but remember top tip one.
4. Keep Going Closely tied to top tip one here, keeping on going is so utterly important. It is SO easy to write 5 articles, put together a website and then expect money to roll in. It DOESN'T work like that! Keep working hard on your niche, and when success comes, keep going! This is really so important! Rewards come to those who work hard. Once you keep on doing it, only then will you be able to work smarter, by seeing what works, and what doesn't.
5. Take A Break Yeah, that may sound a but odd. But seriously, if you have been going for days and days, have your head swimming, and don't know where to go for now, walk away, turn off the computer, and go hiking or something. Do something you enjoy in the real world. It will be there when you come back, but make sure that you do come back.
